The Knob, two miles of pure hill, is the third and final race in the High Country Triple Crown series. The course starts in downtown Boone and follows a challenging two-mile course to Howard’s Knob Park. Views of the town of Boone and the campus of ASU are unparalleled from the 4347 ft. elevation finish. Following the race, all participants are invited to the High Country Triple Crown award’s ceremony hosted by Lost Province Brewing Co. at their awesome location near the starting line.
Cash awards for the overall Triple Crown winners will be announced during this ceremony. Participants registered by September 13 are guaranteed a shirt and reduced registration fees of $20. After September 13, registration fees are $35. Awards for The Knob include first, second and third places in ten age categories in addition to overall awards in both the adult and grandmaster (age 50+) categories.
Runners who complete all three races in the Triple Crown are eligible for $1500 in cash awards as well as special prizes and a discounted registration fee of $110 for all three races.
